Reverse description A four-line Latin inscription occupies the central field, surmounted by a floral ornament and an electoral or archiepiscopal crown above. Below the inscription, a pair of clasped hands beneath a crown symbolises a covenant or alliance. The entire design is enclosed within a decorative floral wreath border, characteristic of German gold coinage of the mid-seventeenth century.
