Obverse description Crowned double-headed imperial eagle with spread wings, both heads nimbate, occupying the central field. The arms of Lucerne — a shield divided per pale argent and azure — appear below the eagle. The date is divided across the field, with '16' and the mintmaster's initial 'L' in the left field, and '03' and the value mark 'V' in the right field. A vegetal ornament decorates the left field.
