Obverse description The obverse displays the Singapore national coat of arms at centre, featuring a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars, supported by a lion rampant to the left and a tiger to the right, with the motto ribbon inscribed MAJULAH SINGAPURA below. The legend SINGAPURA appears along the upper arc in Latin script, flanked by the Tamil inscription சிங்கப்பூர் to the left and the Chinese characters 新加坡 to the right. The mint year 2016 and the word SINGAPORE in Latin script appear in the lower field. The design is struck in proof finish on the distinctive fan-shaped interlocking puzzle piece flan.
