| Obverse description | The arms of Singapore occupy the central field, depicting a shield charged with a crescent moon and five five-pointed stars, supported on the dexter by a lion rampant and on the sinister by a tiger rampant, with a scroll below bearing the national motto MAJULAH SINGAPURA. The country name appears in four scripts around the periphery: SINGAPURA in Latin letters at the top, the Tamil legend சிங்கப்பூர் along the left, the Chinese characters 新加坡 along the right, and SINGAPORE in Latin letters at the bottom. The date 2014 is inscribed below the shield. |
