Obverse description The obverse features the Singapore state coat of arms at centre, depicting a shield charged with a crescent moon and five stars, supported by a lion and a tiger, with a scroll bearing the national motto below. The legend SINGAPURA appears along the upper arc in Latin script, flanked by the Tamil legend சிங்கப்பூர் to the left and the Chinese characters 新加坡 to the right. The date 2014 is inscribed below the coat of arms, with SINGAPORE appearing in the lower arc. The design is struck in proof finish on this distinctive fan-shaped interlocking puzzle-piece flan.
