Obverse description The central field displays the full Coat of Arms of Fiji, featuring a quartered shield supported by two traditionally attired Fijian warriors standing as flanking supporters. The shield incorporates a British lion bearing a cocoa pod, sugarcane, a coconut palm, and a dove, all surmounted by a sailing vessel. A scroll beneath the shield bears the national motto in the Fijian language. Surrounding legends arranged around the irregular, textured field read 'FIJI · 2018' at the top, '5 TROY OZ' to the left, '999 SILVER' to the right, and '2 DOLLARS' at the base. The entire design is rendered in antique finish on a deliberately roughened, irregular-edged flan evoking aged stone.

Reverse description A highly detailed high-relief depiction of the famous Terracotta Army of the First Emperor of China occupies the entire reverse field. A prominent warrior in full armour is rendered in close-up at centre, his bearded and mustachioed face shown in near-frontal view with finely engraved individual features including articulated armour plates, collar, and decorative fastenings. Flanking him on both sides, rows of additional warriors recede into the middle ground, each with distinct facial characteristics and military dress, faithfully reproducing the individuality of the original archaeological figures. The Chinese legend 兵馬俑 (Bingmayong, meaning 'Terracotta Warriors') appears in the upper right field. The entire composition is struck in high relief on an irregular, roughened flan with antique finish, evoking the appearance of an ancient archaeological artefact.
