Obverse description Printed in blue and red intaglio over a multicolour guilloche underprint, the obverse carries a front-facing portrait vignette of John Redman Bovell at right, with the coat of arms of Barbados at left-centre flanked by a trident device and a flying fish (Exocoetidae sp.). A small numeral denomination appears at upper left alongside an ascending serial number in black ink, and a windmill see-through registration device is incorporated into the left margin.
