Obverse description The coat of arms of the Republic of Palau is depicted centrally within a circular field, surrounded by a ring of stars. Below the arms, an open Bible is shown with radiating lines emanating from its pages, symbolising divine illumination. The face value '2$' appears between the coat of arms and the Bible. The legend 'REPUBLIC OF PALAU' arcs along the upper rim, while 'BIBLICAL STORIES' is inscribed in bold lettering along the lower border. The series title 'RAINBOW'S END' appears on a scroll within the coat of arms.

Reverse description A highly detailed, engraving-style scene depicts the biblical narrative of Jonah being expelled from the mouth of a great whale onto a rocky shore. The muscular figure of Jonah is shown emerging forward, partially draped, in a dynamic pose, while the whale's open jaws and coiled body dominate the right side of the composition. In the upper field, a sailing vessel is visible on the sea horizon, with birds in flight above, and lightning strikes frame the background. A small blue-enamelled figure of a fish or whale appears at the lower left, serving as the series' coloured insert. The date '2015' is inscribed in the lower central field, and the legend 'JONAH AND THE WHALE' arcs along the lower rim.
