| Obverse description | The sixth and final definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by sculptor Jody Clark is depicted as a right-facing crowned bust, with the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. This memorial obverse was adopted following the Queen's death in September 2022 and bears the regnal dates 1952–2022 in recognition of her reign. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II 1952-2022 AUSTRALIA 2023, with the engraver's initials JC visible at the base of the portrait. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a flat field. |
