Obverse description The sixth and final effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by sculptor Jody Clark, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of Her Majesty wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace. The portrait is rendered in the memorial obverse style adopted following the Queen's passing in September 2022. The legend ELIZABETH II 1952-2022 arcs above, with AUSTRALIA 2023 and the designer's initials JC appearing below the effigy in the field.

Reverse description A detailed top-down view of the iconic octagonal copper dome of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, rendered in the centre of the coin with applied colour highlighting concentric decorative bands in blue and green tones, evoking the dome's stained-glass and mosaic elements. Stylised architectural detailing of the Memorial's tower elements flanks the design at left and right. The commemorative legend LEST WE FORGET arcs along the upper periphery, with the denomination TWO DOLLARS inscribed along the lower rim; the designer's initials TD and mint mark appear discreetly in the right field.
