Obverse description Central field features a polychrome colored design of a branch bearing ripe red and yellow apples with green foliage, rendered in a traditional East Asian botanical style. A small unframed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II appears in a circular reserve at the top of the field. The legend 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II' arcs along the lower left, while '2 DOLLARS' and 'TUVALU 2021' are inscribed along the upper left and right respectively. The fineness notation '1oz. Ag999' appears at the lower right, and a Chinese inscription '平安喜樂' (peace and joy) is displayed on a banner at the bottom center of the inner design.

Tuvalu has no cattle. The nation's lunar series coins are issued under a licensing arrangement with the Perth Mint, which produces them for collector export rather than any domestic monetary purpose. The "2 Dollars" face value is nominal — no circulating coinage of this denomination exists in everyday Tuvaluan commerce.
