| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped bust effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupying the central field with fine portrait detail including a tiara and pearl earring. The legend ELIZABETH II is inscribed along the left periphery, NIUE at the upper right, and TWO DOLLARS along the right periphery. The date 2020 appears in the lower exergue, and the engraver's initials IRB are incised beneath the portrait truncation. The coin is finished in antiqued silver, giving the field a matte, aged appearance. |
