The Perth Mint's licensing arrangements with foreign cultural institutions have produced some of the more commercially aggressive bullion-adjacent issues of the past decade, and this Tutankhamun piece sits squarely in that category — timed to coincide with the centenary of Howard Carter's 1922 discovery of KV62 in the Valley of the Kings. Carter's team spent a full decade cataloguing the tomb's contents, eventually documenting over 5,000 individual objects.
