Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing a floral crown, drop earring, and pearl necklace, rendered in high relief with fine engraving detail against an antiqued field. The legend QUEEN ELIZABETH II arcs along the upper rim, with NIUE and TWO DOLLARS inscribed vertically along the left, and 2oz 999 FINE SILVER along the right. The date 2020 appears in the lower exergue beneath the portrait. The portrait reflects the Jody Clark effigy style, with meticulous attention to hair and facial detail.

Additional information

Niue has operated as a licensing vehicle for commemorative silver issues since the 1990s, contracting with private mints — primarily the New Zealand Mint and Perth Mint — to produce collector pieces bearing its legal tender face value. This "Judas Kiss" piece belongs to a broader biblical series, the production economics of which have nothing to do with the island's 1,600 residents and everything to do with the global bullion collectibles market.

KM#3818 is one of dozens of Niue-issued 2-dollar silver rounds catalogued in that range, all sharing the same two-troy-ounce specification.
