Obverse description Effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered in the fourth portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland tiara. The hammered-effect field surrounds the central bust. The legend '2 DOLLARS' arcs along the upper lobe, 'NIUE' appears vertically along the left lobe, '2014' vertically along the right lobe, and 'ELIZABETH II' curves along the lower arc. The engraver's initials 'IRB' appear below the truncation. Four small holes are pierced at each lobe tip, consistent with the cross-form flan design intended for mounting or display.
