Obverse description The sixth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as sculpted by Jody Clark, occupies the centre of the obverse, depicting a right-facing crowned bust of the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem, pearl drop earrings, and a pearl necklace. The portrait is rendered in fine relief with meticulous detail in the hair and crown. The legend ELIZABETH II curves along the upper left field, while AUSTRALIA arcs along the upper right, and the date 2022 appears at the lower right. The engraver's initials JC are incused in small lettering at the lower left of the truncation.
