| Obverse description | Within a circular medallion set at the center of the flower-shaped flan, the fourth effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II faces right, as designed by Ian Rank-Broadley, wearing the Royal Diadem. The legend ELIZABETH II and NIUE flank the portrait on the left and right respectively, with TWO DOLLARS completing the arc to the right. The date 2020 appears below the portrait, and the fineness inscription 1 OZ 999 FINE SILVER is struck along the lower arc of the medallion. The surrounding flan is sculpted in high relief to represent the veined, ribbed petals of an orchid bloom in naturalistic detail. |
