Additional information

Operation Jaywick was a September 1943 Allied special forces raid in which fourteen men aboard a converted Japanese fishing vessel, the Krait, paddled folding kayaks into Singapore Harbour and attached limpet mines to seven Japanese ships, sinking or disabling approximately 37,000 tons of shipping. It remains one of the most audacious commando operations of the Pacific War. All participants returned safely — a near-miracle given the depth of penetration into enemy-held waters.

Niue has no historical connection to the operation whatsoever; the island functions as a licensing authority for commemorative issues targeting the collector market. The Swarovski crystal element is a common upsell tactic in this product category.
