Reverse description Central composition depicting a tall ship under full sail navigating turbulent ocean waves, set against a large rising sun rendered in gold-tone selective gilding with radiating rays extending to the upper field. The inscription 'MILLENNIUM' arcs across the upper portion of the design, its letters also gilt, flanked by the transitional years '1999' to the left and '2000' to the right at mid-field. The Bermuda motto 'QUO FATA FERUNT' (Whither the Fates carry us) is inscribed in the lower field within the wave-filled exergue. The entire reverse design is bordered by a decorative twisted rope inner border following the scalloped outline of the coin.
