| Obverse description | Right-facing crowned effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, rendered in high relief within a rectangular raised panel at centre. The engraver's initials IRB appear on the truncation. Flowing decorative ribbon motifs in high relief surround the central panel across the coin field, framing the composition.
