| Reverse description | The reverse features a high-relief sculptural rendition of the iconic flag-raising at Iwo Jima, depicting six U.S. Marines straining to plant the American flag atop Mount Suribachi, faithfully based on Joe Rosenthal's celebrated 1945 photograph.
