Additional information

The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank issues currency on behalf of eight member territories — Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Anguilla — but collector coins like this one are produced specifically for the numismatic market and see no circulation whatsoever. The ECCB has leaned heavily into wildlife-themed silver issues since the mid-2010s as a revenue stream, with humpback whales being a recurring subject given their documented migration through Eastern Caribbean waters.

KM#26.1 distinguishes this as the colourized variant within the type, a separate catalog entry from the uncolourized strike.
