Additional information

Tuvalu's legal tender coinage has long been produced under contract by the Perth Mint, which uses the small Pacific nation's issuing authority to release bullion and collector pieces that Australia itself cannot issue under its own numismatic program. This dragon piece is part of a multi-year Perth Mint series and carries Tuvalu's name largely as a licensing arrangement rather than any expression of local monetary policy.

The two-troy-ounce specification places it in Perth's heavier bullion tier, introduced to compete directly with Chinese Panda issues and the growing Asian collector market for fine silver in that weight range.
