| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the George IV State Diadem, as sculpted by Ian Rank-Broadley. The Queen's portrait is rendered in high relief against a polished mirror field. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs along the left rim and COOK ISLANDS along the right rim, both in raised Latin capitals.
