| Additional information |
Niue has operated a licensed bullion and commemorative program since the 1990s, issuing coins under New Zealand's currency arrangements that allow the island to produce legal tender struck at foreign mints. This piece is part of a long-running series produced under a licensing agreement with Lucasfilm — now Disney — that has generated dozens of Star Wars issues across multiple issuers worldwide. Niue's program has been handled primarily by the New Zealand Mint in Auckland.
The KM#2770 reference places it within a catalog sequence that runs into the thousands for this issuer alone.
