| Obverse description | Right-facing diademed and draped effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the central field, flanked on either side by a large laurel branch forming a wreath-like frame around the portrait. The peripheral legend is divided into two arcs: the upper arc reads EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK, while the lower arc carries the inscriptions 1 OZ .999 SILVER, QUEEN ELIZABETH II, and TWO DOLLARS, all rendered in raised Latin lettering within a recessed outer ring. The portrait is executed in high relief against a mirror-polished proof field, consistent with the Rank-Broadley effigy style used on Eastern Caribbean coinage of this period. |
