| Obverse description | The obverse features the diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, as engraved by Ian Rank-Broadley, with the engraver's initials 'IRB' beneath the truncation. The legend 'ELIZABETH II' arcs to the left and 'TOKELAU 2015' to the right, flanked by decorative geometric latticework motifs in the Tokelauan style. Centered below the portrait is a rectangular inset depiction of the Tokelau national flag. The lower half of the arch-topped rectangular field is filled with an elaborate baroque-style acanthus scrollwork design in high relief. The denomination '2 DOLLARS' and the fineness inscription '50 g 999 SILVER' appear in the central field between the flag and the scrollwork. |

| Reverse description | The reverse presents a full-color reproduction of the venerated Byzantine icon of the Black Madonna of Częstochowa (Our Lady of Jasna Góra), depicted in rich amber, ochre, and deep green tones. The Virgin Mary is shown in a frontal, hieratic pose, crowned and robed in a dark mantle adorned with fleur-de-lis motifs, holding the Christ Child at her right side, both figures surrounded by a luminous golden halo against a green background. The iconic image is framed within an elaborate silver arch-topped border with finely rendered pierced acanthus scrollwork columns, above which two kneeling angels in high relief flank a central crown. No legends or inscriptions appear on the reverse. |
