Obverse description Right-facing diademed effigy of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the upper central field of the irregularly shaped flan, which is struck in the form of the iconic Aquaman logo — a stylised trapezoidal shield surmounted above a downward-facing crescent cutout. The legend ELIZABETH II arcs to the left of the effigy, NIUE and TWO DOLLARS appear to the right, and the date 2021 is placed below the portrait. The inscriptions 1 oz 999 Fine Silver and AQUAMAN TM © DC Comics (s21) are incused along the lower margins of the field.

Additional information

Niue's arrangement with the New Zealand Overseas Exchange Office has made the territory a prolific licensor for pop-culture bullion since the early 2010s, issuing legal-tender silver rounds under DC, Marvel, and Disney agreements that are bought almost exclusively by collectors and never see transactional use. This piece is part of that program — DC Comics licensed, struck to one-troy-ounce silver bullion specification.

KM#4240 attribution places it within a catalogued series, though NGC and PCGS population data for individual Niue DC issues is thin, with many pieces graded in bulk submission lots rather than as distinct types.
