Obverse description Memorial effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, rendered as the sixth and final crowned portrait by engraver Jody Clark, designated by the initials JC in the field. The Queen is depicted wearing the George IV State Diadem and the Victorian Coronation Necklace, with fine drapery at the shoulder. The surrounding legend reads ELIZABETH II 1952 - 2022 AUSTRALIA 2 DOLLARS, commemorating her reign from accession to death. This obverse was adopted posthumously as a memorial portrait following Her Majesty's passing in September 2022.
