| Reverse description | The reverse presents a dynamic high-relief depiction of an Australian Wedge-Tailed Eagle (Aquila audax) in a dramatic stoop, talons extended and gripping a serpent, wings fully spread with finely engraved feather detail across the plumage and body. The bird is rendered with great naturalistic intensity, occupying the central field in near three-dimensional relief. The legend AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE arcs along the upper border, with the Perth Mint's P mintmark at the left field. Along the lower border, the inscription 2021 2OZ 9999 SILVER records the date, weight, and fineness. The design was engraved by Jennifer McKenna, whose initials JM appear on the coin. |

| Additional information |
The Wedge-Tailed Eagle series, launched by the Perth Mint in 2012, became one of the most consistently collected Australian bullion programs partly because the design changes annually — a deliberate strategy to drive collector demand beyond the base metal value. The 6th portrait of Elizabeth II, sculpted by Jody Clark and adopted by the Royal Australian Mint in 2019, appears here in one of its final years before her death in September 2022 rendered the entire portrait series a closed set.
The 2 oz .9999 fine silver specification places this squarely in Perth's premium bullion tier, above the standard 1 oz issue in the same series.
