| Additional information |
Australia marked the 75th anniversary of the Pacific War's end with particular weight — the country lost over 39,000 service personnel in a conflict that brought fighting to its own northern shores, including the 1942 Japanese bombing of Darwin. The Perth Mint has produced commemorative silver in this vein consistently since the 1990s, though the antiqued finish on this issue is applied chemically after striking to simulate aged silver rather than through any period-authentic process.
The sixth portrait of Elizabeth II, by Jody Clark, was adopted by Australia in 2019.
