Reverse description The reverse displays a boldly struck rooster standing in profile amid a traditional East Asian landscape, with stylised clouds and a rising sun in the background and peony blossoms at the lower right. To the right of the central design appears the Chinese character 雞 (rooster), denoting the zodiac animal of the year. The date 2005 is inscribed vertically along the left field. The inscription 2 OZ 999 SILVER is engraved in a straight line along the lower exergue, confirming the coin's bullion content. The entire design is framed by a beaded inner border.
