Reverse description A Kookaburra (Dacelo novaeguineae) is depicted perched upon a wooden fence post, rendered in high relief with fine feather detail against a plain, highly polished field. The bird faces left with its characteristic large beak clearly delineated. The P mintmark for the Perth Mint appears toward the base of the large fence post, while certain issues bear additional privy marks to the right side of the composition just above the fence rail. The surrounding and lower legends identify the subject and confirm the coin's specification.
