Obverse description The face is executed in shades of blue and green over a fine guilloche underprint. At lower left, a vignette of a Kaka parrot is inset, while a three-quarter-view portrait of Queen Elizabeth II occupies the right of centre, with the Fijian national coat of arms at upper right. The legal tender inscription runs along the lower margin.

Reverse description The central vignette presents five traditionally costumed Fijians standing on a sandy beach backed by a dense grove of palm trees, rendered in blue and green tones with an orange foreground. A geometric tapa-cloth border frieze in blue and brown runs along the lower portion, with an ornate guilloche panel bearing the numeral '2' at the right. The printer's imprint 'DE LA RUE' appears at the lower centre.
