| Reverse description | The reverse presents an elaborate antiqued silver composition inspired by Lewis Carroll's 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland', dominated by a central functional clock mechanism set within a gilt bezel. The clock face bears Arabic numerals and depicts the White Rabbit in herald dress at its center. The gilt annular ring surrounding the clock carries the inscription 'Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!' in relief lettering. In the surrounding field, high-relief vignettes depict Alice standing to the right gazing upward, the grinning Cheshire Cat at upper right, a cascade of playing cards at left, and ornate foliate scrollwork throughout.
