Additional information

Niue has used its New Zealand-granted coinage rights since the 1970s to issue collector silver almost entirely unrelated to the island's own economy or history — the face value is nominal, the real market is bullion and numismatic collectors abroad. This piece was struck in the first full year of Charles III's coinage, following the September 2022 accession that triggered a global replacement cycle across all Commonwealth realms and associated territories.
