Additional information

The "Mini Roo" designation refers to Perth Mint's fractional bullion program, which expanded aggressively in the 2010s to capture demand for sub-gram gold entry points. At 0.52 g, this piece contains exactly 1/60th of a troy ounce — a deliberately awkward fraction that exists purely because it yields a round retail price point at prevailing spot, not because it corresponds to any historical weight standard.

Charles III's accession in September 2022 triggered a wholesale re-tooling of effigy coinage across all Commonwealth mints. Perth's first Charles III bullion issues appeared in 2023.
