Obverse description Bare-headed effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief against a brushed field, with engraver's initials 'JC' incuse below the truncation. The peripheral legend reads '· KING CHARLES III' to the upper left and 'TUVALU ·' to the upper right. Secondary inscriptions arranged along the lower arc of the field read '2oz', '9999', 'Ag', '2025', and '2 DOLLARS', each separated by the coin's circular border. The portrait displays fine detail in the hair and facial features, consistent with the official effigy by Jody Clark adopted for Commonwealth coinage from 2015.

Additional information

The Moirai — Clotho, Lachesis, and Atropos — were the Greek personifications of fate who spun, measured, and cut the thread of every mortal life, gods included by some accounts. Tuvalu has issued collectible silver rounds under Australian licensing arrangements for decades, frequently leaning on mythology and fantasy themes that have no particular connection to the island nation itself. Charles III succeeded to the throne in September 2022 following the death of Elizabeth II.
