| Reverse description | A three-quarter length portrait of the American frontier outlaw Billy the Kid depicted in period costume, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, neckerchief, loose jacket, and belt, and resting one hand on a rifle. The figure is rendered in bold relief against a textured field evoking aged stone or plaster. The legend OUTLAW BILLY THE KID is inscribed across the upper portion of the field in prominent Western-style lettering within a framed panel, while the inscription WILD WEST appears within a decorative banner at the base, flanked by stars. The overall design evokes the aesthetic of a vintage Wild West wanted poster. |

| Additional information |
Billy the Kid — born Henry McCarty, also known as William Bonney — died in July 1881 when Sheriff Pat Garrett shot him at Fort Sumner, New Mexico. He was approximately 21 years old. Niue has issued legal tender collector coins under licensing agreements for decades, a revenue arrangement common among small Pacific island nations with negligible domestic coin demand. This piece falls squarely within that commercial framework, its New Zealand dollar-linked currency giving it nominal legal tender status on an island of roughly 1,500 people who use none of it.
