Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King Charles III facing left, rendered in high relief with naturalistic detail of facial features and hair. The legend CHARLES III is inscribed along the left arc of the border, NIUE at the top, and 2 DOLLARS along the right arc, all in raised capital letters. The date 2023 appears in the lower field beneath the portrait, flanked by two raised dots. The engraver's initials JC appear below the truncation of the bust. The coin exhibits an antiqued finish, lending a darkened patina to the fields and recessed areas.

Reverse description Elaborate high-relief composition commemorating the Siege of Orléans (1429), dominated by a large armoured figure of Joan of Arc in the right foreground, shown in three-quarter view with bowed head and gauntleted hands clasped, wearing a full suit of plate armour with chainmail detail. To her right, a crowned sword flanked by two fleurs-de-lis symbolises her divine mission. In the left and centre field, a dynamic battle scene unfolds, with mounted and foot soldiers surging forward beneath a banner inscribed JESUS MARIA, with flames rising in the background and a solitary figure standing within them. The inscriptions BITKA PRI ORLEANS arc across the upper left field, 1429 appears in the upper centre, and Jeanne d'Arc curves along the right border. The engraver's signature LUGAR appears at the bottom of the field, accompanied by the Kremnica Mint mark.
