| Reverse description | The reverse is divided into a quadrant-style composition featuring three iconic Australian fauna rendered in high relief against an engine-turned field. At left, a kookaburra perches on a branch, depicted in fine feathered detail; at upper centre-right, a leaping kangaroo is shown in mid-stride across a stylised outback landscape with native flora; at lower centre, a wombat is portrayed in close-up frontal view with textured fur detail. The legend AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE appears in two lines across the upper field. Below the central dividing line, the inscriptions 2oz 9999 SILVER and 2024 appear horizontally, with the Perth Mint's commemorative identifier P125 to the lower right. The engraver's initials NH are visible to the lower left. |

| Additional information |
Perth Mint's Australian Wildlife series has run in various configurations since the 1990s, and the 2024 issues were among the first to carry Charles III's effigy following the transition from Elizabeth II — a changeover that required new master dies and Royal Mint approval before any Commonwealth issuer could proceed. The Perth Mint moved relatively quickly through that process compared to several other Commonwealth mints still using transitional obverses well into 2023.
