| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of King Charles III, as sculpted by Martin Jennings, occupying the central field. The portrait depicts the King in a suit with an open collar, rendered in fine relief with detailed hair and facial features. At the centre, the traditional dhari (headdress) motif of the flag is depicted in relief against a blue field, symbolising Torres Strait Islander identity and culture. Flanking the central roundel on either side are decorative panels of traditional Islander artistic patterns in the uncoloured aluminium bronze field.
