Additional information

The Bahamian bullion program of the 1990s occupied an awkward commercial position — too small in mintage to compete with the major sovereign bullion series, too regionally specific to attract broad collector interest. This piece, at one-tenth troy ounce, was part of a multi-denomination gold set issued annually through the Central Bank, with sales directed primarily at the tourist trade and offshore financial sector clientele that made Nassau a significant banking hub throughout that decade.
