| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of the Republic of Palau occupies the central field, depicting a crowned Neptune seated and holding a trident, accompanied by a mermaid, set within a shield flanked by floral ornaments and surmounted by a traditional Palauan bai figure. The motto RAINBOW'S END appears in the exergue of the shield. Eight five-pointed stars flank the coat of arms along the inner border. The legend REPUBLIC OF PALAU curves along the upper periphery, and the denomination 2$ is inscribed at the bottom of the field. |
