Obverse description The full coat of arms of Belize occupies the central field, supported by two woodcutters standing at either side and surmounted by a mahogany tree; the shield bears crossed tools above a sailing vessel on the lower half, with the motto scroll SUB UMBRA FLOREO at its base. The arms are framed by an olive wreath open at the top and bottom. The country name BELIZE arcs along the upper legend, while the denomination 2 DOLLARS is inscribed along the lower legend, all within a beaded border at the rim.
