| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend in bold naskh script, arranged within a lobed or arched cartouche. A dotted inner border encircles the field, with a marginal legend running along the outer periphery. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, characteristic of hammered medieval Islamic coinage. The legends reference the Shahada or ruler's titles in keeping with Ilkhanid monetary tradition. Overall strike is moderately sharp with some weakness at the edges consistent with hand-struck production. |
