| Obverse description | Central field bears a multi-line Arabic inscription in angular Kufic-influenced script arranged in horizontal registers, containing the Shahada and the name of the ruling Ilkhan Taghay Timur. The legend is framed by a simple linear border following the irregular flan. The overall style is characteristic of Ilkhanid hammered silver coinage of the mid-14th century, with bold, deeply struck lettering filling the field. |
