Obverse description The copper-nickel centre features the quartered coat of arms of Andorra, incorporating the traditional four quarters representing the Bishop of Urgell, the Count of Foix, Catalonia, and the Viscount of Béarn, with an ornate cartouche below bearing the motto VIRTVS VNITA FORTIOR. The denomination '2 D.' appears in the lower portion of the brass outer ring, with the date '2005' below it. The legend PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA curves along the upper arc of the outer ring. The overall design presents the heraldic shield in a classical engraved style within the bimetallic format.
