Additional information

Palestine's coin issues present a persistent cataloging ambiguity: the Palestinian Authority has never held full monetary authority, and the Israeli shekel remains the de facto currency in the West Bank and Gaza. These dinar-denominated pieces were issued as collector or commemorative tokens rather than circulating tender — no Palestinian dinar currency system was ever operationally established to receive them.
