The "Informbiro" designation attached to this note refers to the Cominform crisis of 1948, when Yugoslavia's expulsion from the Soviet-led information bureau triggered a rupture that left the Narodna Banka holding printed currency it could never release. This 2 Dinara series was ready — ZIN had done its job — but the political fallout from Tito's break with Stalin forced a redesign, and the 1950 issue was shelved before distribution.
Unissued survivors reached collectors primarily through institutional leakage decades later, not through any formal release.
